The Red State Blues Band started as an informal jam session at a party in December, 2004. Fast-forward to now and you'll find a successful, hard-rocking blues band. With tight arrangements, from ballads to barn-burners, we get the crowd going on the dance floor, begging for more. We find our inspiration in electrified blues with a rock flavor, but also draw from the roots of the blues in the Delta of the Mississippi. We play standards and and contemporary blues tunes, from Albert King to Z. Z. Top, as well as several original tunes. Members of the band have over 80 years combined experience playing in bands with a variety of styles, such as blues, Celtic, bluegrass, polka, rock, and jazz. This diverse influence keeps our sound fresh and vital. Come on out and see how we let the good times roll!
